Your First Dental Visit
What to Expect
Frequently Asked Questions
Here are a few questions answered to get to know the process better. Feel free to email us if you have further questions.
The Canadian Dental Association recommends the assessment of infants, by a dentist, within 6 months of the eruption of the first tooth or by one year of age, whichever comes first. First visits can be stressful for parents, especially for parents who have dental phobias themselves. It is imperative for parents to continually communicate positive messages about dental visits (especially the first one), and to help the child feel as happy as possible about visiting the dentist.
Your dentist will then review the findings with you and discuss any recommended treatments. We take time to answer your questions and create a personalized treatment plan designed to fit your goals, timeline, and budget. Our goal is to make your first visit comfortable, informative, and stress-free.
