The procedure begins with x-rays and impressions (molds) being taken to establish bone, gum tissue, and spacing available for an implant. Next, the implant will be surgically placed into the bone and left to heal between one and six months. Once the healing period is complete, the artificial tooth is securely attached to the implant. To ensure a long life span for your dental implants, regular dental visits, good oral hygiene and eating habits are encouraged.
